You will serve as a Machinist in the MRO Production Department, of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will plan the work and manufacturing of parts and items of equipment from raw stock of various metals, metal alloys, and other materials using specialized and nonstandard machine tools.
You will use conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, and auxiliary machine tool attachments.
You will perform complex set-ups, layouts, gauging, precise alignments and measurements of work pieces on machines and layout tables using layout and precision measurement tools.
You will coordinate related work processes utilizing knowledge of arithmetic, geometric and trigonometric formulas to compute compound angels, angular indexing etc.

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including: 1) Planning the work and manufacturing parts and items of equipment from raw stock of various metals, metal alloys, and other materials using specialized and nonstandard machine tools and multi axis numerically controlled machines; 2) Using conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, and auxiliary machine tool attachments; 3) Performing complex set-ups, layouts, gauging, precise alignments and measurements of work pieces on machines and layout tables using layout and precision measurement tools; 4) Coordinating related work processes utilizing knowledge of heat treating/annealing/welding/plating uses knowledge of arithmetic ,geometric and trigonometric formulas to compute compound angels, angular indexing etc.; and 5) Interpreting work orders and drawings to complete assigned tasks. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
