You will serve as a SUPERVISORY RECORDS & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS (N9), KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (N93), RECORDS MANAGEMENT (N932) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will plan, organize, and direct activities and personnel of the division. You will analyze workload, workflow, and other factors impacting on the program, and establish goals, priorities, and action plans accordingly. You will oversee Records Management Staff and Local Administrators through the MSC Codes and Directorates, who have the responsibility for Records Management at their level. You will ensure that records/information assets are managed to ensure government accountability, protect the interest of the public, and mitigate records-related litigation risks. You will formulate and oversee the implementation of MSC policy guidance for record-keeping in accordance MSC Strategic Plans;congressional mandates for all electronic and non-electric, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) regulations. You will plan, organize, direct, review, coordinate,and establish controls for all MSC records activities. You will ensure that MCS personnel are knowledgeable and kept current about records management principles and requirements, and that they receive record management training appropriate to their needs. You will serve as the MSC RM representative to the DOD, DON, OPNAV, USFFC and other agencies in matters relating to MSC records management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the IGS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert experience applying knowledge in Electronic Information Management (EIM) and Enterprise Records Management (ERM) to ensure records/information assets are managed to ensure agency accountability; Expert experience overseeing records management in administering programs, conducting and overseeing inventory such as transfers of records; Expert experience formulating and overseeing the implementation of agency policy guidance for record-keeping, congressional mandates for all electronics and non-electronics records; Expert experience applying knowledge and interpreting the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) or similar regulations, standards and guidance; Expert experience in records creation, maintenance, and disposition of records in accordance with guidance and the Federal Records Act.
