The incumbent will perform administrative support for the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center and Community Based outpatient Clinics (CBOC) and assist with any future proposals/projects that are implemented. He/she will be under the direct supervision of the Home Telehealth RN Manager. Duties will be varied, routine, and consist of handling data and assisting with coordination of projects.
Duties
Major Duties:
Perform administrative support for the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center and Community Based outpatient Clinics (CBOC).
Handling data and assisting with coordination of projects.
Serve as a point-of-contact for patients, VA Medical Center staff, VISN 20 staff, community agencies, and various others who contact this office.
Responsible for input of required data into the HT database is a timely manner.
Operate web-based software for the telehealth program as well as Access database for the VISN 20 office.
Attaining and maintaining basic competencies in operation of the telehealth equipment to assist in troubleshooting problems for patients, answering questions for patients and staff, and supporting the telehealth team.
Maintain the calendar of appointments for patients, meetings, conference calls, and other various scheduled activities.
Schedule conferences, coordinate meetings and take minutes of various meetings pertaining to the HT and any future proposals/projects.
Responsible for utilizing statistical data to compile a monthly workload report for all program staff.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/21/2023.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Receiving and directing telephone calls and greeting visitors. Provide information to visitors, assisting with resolving issues, satisfying the clients expectations. Knowledge in the products and services. Preparing reports using various computer programs, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and office automation systems to perform a substantial range of office automation support. Proper use of grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and commonly used specialized terminology to prepare written material correctly and communicate with others. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have A bachelor's degree or four (4) years of education above the high school level with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business or technical school, junior college, college or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total qualification requirements for this grade level. Physical Requirements: The work is partly sedentary, but a great deal of walking to all parts of the Medical Center/CBOC is required since the incumbent will be working with a variety of clinical and administrative services. Some lifting and sorting of HT equipment up to 15 pounds.
