Duties
Develops resource management strategies for the prevention and control of noxious and invasive weeds.
Develops partnerships and funding sources for coordinated program with neighboring landowners and land management agencies.
Coordinates information and develops Integrated Weed Management (IWM) program portion of the Annual Work Plans (AWP) budget submittal.
Maintains qualifications for Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Project Inspector (PI) in order to manage project construction, monitor contract compliance, and/or approve project completion.
Maintains Program Officer (PO) training to administer assistance agreements with cooperators.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement(s); please be sure to include this information in your resume. No assumptions will be made about your experience. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-06) of the position to be filled.
Examples include, but are not limited to: independently perform all aspects of treating weeds with supervision; serve as a crew lead; document pesticide use; assist staff with mapping, weed monitoring, and developing a weed management plan; assisting in the management of public range resources of a district or other specified area by observing and reporting special conditions regarding them; and assists in performing the detailed work necessary to complete specific plans for development of an area for proper range management and conservation.
Substitution of Education for Experience:
1 year of graduate education which is DIRECTLY related to work of the position; OR an equivalent combination of specialized experience and education.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Demands: The work ranges from sedentary when completing duties in the office to frequent field work requiring a considerable amount of walking, riding, stooping, bending, and lifting.
Work Environment: Significant time may be spent in the field and exposed to hazardous environmental conditions.
