Duties
The DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has a robust Liaison Officer (LNO) Program that assigns experienced intelligence professionals to represent the Chief Intelligence Officer (CINT) and serves in organizations across the DHS, the Intelligence Community (IC), and the Department of Defense (DoD). The LNOs support the CINT in his responsibility for developing an integrated Intelligence Enterprise across DHS, providing support ranging from subject matter expertise to coordination on both tactical and strategic level intelligence activities across the Homeland Security Enterprise.
LNOs serve as the primary interface between the DHS homeland security communities of interest, the Department of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC). LNOs serve as advisors and senior intelligence subject matter experts who represent I&A and support DHS intelligence holistically, working across Mission Centers and partner offices. LNOs support the Homeland Security Enterprise, IC, and DoD with timely intelligence and the information it needs to keep the homeland safe, secure, and resilient. LNOs facilitate the bi-directional flow of information between I&A and other DHS and Host Agencies.

Requirements
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is covered by the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters Drug-Free Workplace Program.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Overtime may be required in response to a significant event.
- Overnight Travel of 1-5 nights per month may be required.

Qualifications
The competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform this job are:
Knowledge of the Intelligence Community and the DHS Intelligence Enterprise.
Knowledge of the principles of intelligence operations and analytical principles.
Knowledge of DHS I&A homeland security mission and the role of intelligence in the relationship between I&A, the DHS Components, the IC, federal LE, and DoD.
Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate at the senior most levels.
