About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Installation Management CMD USAG, Director of Plans, Training, Mobility & Security Airfield Division at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Perform on-site maintenance work and certification for complete system, subsystem, and components of complex Category I and II level equipment, systems, electronic Air Traffic Control (ATC) Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS), and communication equipment. Investigate, analyze, test, diagnose, correct, and tune complex systems to restore or ensure their continuous and reliable operation. Maintain associated antenna-system transmission lines and ground-plane networks for communication facilities. Troubleshoot, apply practical knowledge of electronic, and develop knowledge of how external forces affects the function of electronic devices and develop what method to use to correct the problems. Initiate or participates in review and improvement of work methods, organizational features, and position structure for economy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The position requires lifting objects over 50 pounds.
• This position requires rotating shifts.
• This position requires pre-employment drug testing and random testing thereafter.
• Business Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time away from the current duty location.
• This is a Mission Essential designated position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
