Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as:
Conducting inspection of construction projects to ensure proper quality of work and compliance with contract specifications and requirements.
Overseeing and monitoring the execution of new construction, renovations, infrastructure improvements, historical stone restoration and/or building upgrade activities.
Serving in the role as the Assistant Contracting Officer’s Representative (ACOR)
Passing Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) class within 6 months of being hired.
Assisting the Contracting Officer and/or Contracting Officer's Representative (COTR) with contract administration such as statements of work, performance standards, and evaluation functions.
Working with on-site and off-site engineers, architects, contractors, and craft workers on construction or design issues and recommending improvements.
