About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.

Duties

Coordinates and maintains liaison with Fort Benning organization such as billeting and ACS Coordinates issue of ID cards to IMS and family members Preps and maintains in/out-processing info packets Preparing and tracking all student records Preparing correspondence, reports, and assisting with special projects concerning administration of the organization

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating and inputting official travel into automated system such as Defense Travel System (DTS); preparing and tracking all civilian personnel actions, such as Request/Notification for personnel Actions; preparing correspondence, reports, and assisting with special projects concerning administration of the organization . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Selective Placement Factors: Must be able to fluently read, write and speak in Spanish and English You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Reasoning (Clerical/Technical)SpeakingWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
