The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a planner responsible for cradle to grave supply chain management and support to worldwide customers for an assigned complex/critical group of contract, inter-service, organic and dual repaired items and sub-components.
Duties
Performs work and analysis associated with the management of items, and prepares data for accurate planning of budgetary estimates.
Validates repair requirements data, initiates repair, maintains documentation for repair actions and maintains surveillance over Contractor Depot Repair, Organic Repair, Dual Repair and Depot Maintenance Interservice Agreements (DMISA) production.
Analyzes customer requirements and directs worldwide DoD supply activities to optimize worldwide asset distribution.
Independently prepares presentations and reports, provides status briefings to management and customers.
Initiatives, facilitates and often chairs discussions, meetings, and serves on quality review teams, integrated product teams, panels or committees, as directed.

- The duty location for this position is (Tinker AFB). However, this position is eligible for maximum telework flexibilities. Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty.
Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes: In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, procedures, techniques and practices. Skills in conducting detailed analysis of complex items, functions and work processes. In-depth knowledge and skills in assessing and using all applicable data systems and computer based office management tools. Broad knowledge to independently review and resolve difficult issues and problems. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-?grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, contract and organic repair and inter-service procedures, techniques and practices.
2. Ability to independently analyze historical data, reported usage, trends, failure data, past and future program data and select the appropriate demand planning methods for assigned items.
3. Expert knowledge of requirements, repair, disposal, distribution and spares leveling.
4. In-depth knowledge of supply chain management processes, including sustainment procedures as well as the peculiarities of requirements development.
5. Broad knowledge of the Department of Defense planning, programming and budgeting systems.
6. Knowledge of tactical and strategic approaches to supply chain management.
7. Experienced in accessing and using all applicable data systems.
8. Communicates effectively both orally and with the written word.
9. Knowledge of specialized analytical methods and techniques to resolve difficult inventory management issues and problems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is primarily performed in an office like setting involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
