You will serve as a POWERED SYSTEMS SUPPORT MECHANIC in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will perform preventive maintenance on electrical power support systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot on electrical power support systems. You will conduct periodic load - tests to ensure adequacy of systems. You will repair components such as generators, voltage regulators, governors, starter motors, fuel pumps, fuel lines and oil pumps. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Aircraft Arresting Systems.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Diagnosing and locating malfunctions, disassembling, repairing, and replacing related equipment such as sensors, batteries, gauges, lubricants, and coolants; 2) Utilizing basic principles of the operation and maintenance of AD and DC electrical powered generation systems such as combustion powered engines, turbine engines, multi drive gear units, cooling systems and pneumatic systems; and 3) Utilizing technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides covering the complete assembly of powered support systems.
