Duties

Provide medical standards guidance policy interpretation and application to health care professionals and medical support staffs within the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and to personnel throughout the installation. Compiles Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS) data, analyzes, and reports to executive leadership. Establish metric and analysis systems to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory guidance. Ensures policy and procedures are consistent and in keeping with Air Force (AF) and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines. Evaluate the contributions and effectiveness of the application of medical standards to the MTF's overall success, making recommendations for improvement. Ensure required forms are appropriately accomplished by medical providers. Review and sign required documentation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing administrative operations in a health care setting, utilizing heath care system databases to enter and retrieve data, and implementing administrative directives and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
