About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist over supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, order fulfillment, and/or distribution functions. The Supervisor leads their personnel toward organizational goals by developing objectives, assigning work, tracking progress, and overseeing outputs of their employees.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Assigns work to employees and tracks completion progress.
Formulates organizational plans for functional responsibility by determining requirements, staffing, and budgeting.
Demonstrates the applicable supply and maintenance planning competencies and proficiencies influencing the twelve Life Cycle Logistics competency areas identified in the Life Cycle Logistics Competency Model.
Integrate supply and maintenance planning from the initiation of product development to culmination of life to ensure the Product Support Strategy with the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements are properly planned, resourced and implemented.
Manages and delivers repairable products and services through the IPS Elements to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness.
Oversees employees in at least one of the following functions: supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, procurement, order management, distribution management, or supplier performance.
Influences system design by evaluating supply planning principles to the supply and maintenance support plan which will allow the Program/Product Manager?s to provide best-value product support throughout the system life cycle.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialize Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Conducting inventory checks to maintain accuracy and control of equipment and supplies; 2) Developing long-range material support plans; AND 3) Managing items to achieve effective supply support while remaining within authorized budget.
