You will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist of NAVAL AIR STATION.
This will be a Term Appt. NTE 18 months and maybe extended to 5 years if necessary.
Position is obligated.
Duties
You will oversee the development of risk models, technology, equipment, and information management systems to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of organization's emergency dispatch program.
You will resolve critical emergency management situations that affect organization wide operations
You will coordinate the acquisition of specialized emergency management equipment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting EOD operations, including activation and/or command and control procedures, as well as EOC systems, equipment, and software; Comprehending National Response Framework, National Disaster Recovery Framework, NIMS, and/or ICS to ensure proper procedures; Interpreting policies, procedures, and guidelines, to include federal, DoD, and/or Department of the Navy (DoN) EM policies; Analyzing the effectiveness of training, exercises, and realworld incident response operations; Implementing corresponding corrective actions or changes to policies, instructions, and SOPs; Planning concepts and/or technical requirements for continuity of operations planning. Interpreting requirements for evacuation management and shelter-in place planning principles; Comprehending Protection Association and/or DoN mandates for "911" and first responder dispatch requirements, including a understanding of telephone and/or alarm networks supporting the dispatch function. Comprehending the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program to ensure accurate procedures; Interpreting government agency EM organizations and/or activities such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as state and local EM organizations; Interpreting Unified Facilities Code for EOCs and Mass Warning and Notification Systems to ensure requirements; Directing, leading, and facilitating integrated training and exercise events; Engaging with other federal, state and local agencies during disasters, emergencies, conferences, briefings and normal day to-day situations to ensure operation.
