Position is located within Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH), UAS Security Division, AXE-U00. The incumbent will provide policy expertise to FAA/AXE leadership in the matters specific to security activities to inform rule making, review of legislation, inter­ agency coordination as well as decision making for the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) program.

Duties

Incumbent performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager and acts as principal technical specialist for work activities. Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to matters specific to assigned security activities. Typical assignments include:

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience can be defined as:-Experience providing input into policy and regulatory documents relating to UAS and Counter UAS activities.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
