This position participates in the development, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Forest Unit's partnership Program. See "Education" section for location information.

Duties

Facilitate and request modifications to partnership agreements with the Grants and Agreements staff. Identify programmatic issues in order to coordinate with the appropriate line or staff officer to negotiate and/or resolve problems. Assist leadership in developing and implementing goals, objectives, vision and values for partnership programs. Implement a multi-sector approach to funding to support critical programs and services. Ensure the partnership program aligns with the Partnership Strategy goals of shared stewardship and promotion of leveraged investments in all-lands conservation activities. Serve as a technical expert that works in close collaboration with the Regional Partnership Program Manager. Prepare grant proposals with the aim of leveraging funding to support projects Maintain a communications network with staff counterparts, teams, committees, workgroups, supervisors, and managers Establish and communicate guidelines and performance requirements to employees including conducting formal performance reviews and identifying developmental and training needs of employees. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. For more information on the qualifications for this position, visit the Office of Personnel Management's General Schedule Qualification Standards. Specialized Experience Requirement: GS-11: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as some of the following: Assisted leadership in the development and implementation of a partnership program; Provided assistance in marketing partnership program efforts; Ensured partnership program meets program goals, vision and values; Participated in strategic planning and writing grant proposals. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; OR Combination of specialized experience and graduate level education (beyond what is required for a master's degree, i.e., more than 36 semester hours leading to a Ph.D.). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
