About the Position: This position is located within the Fort Liberty community district. Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, is a military installation of the United States Army in North Carolina, and is one of the largest military installations in the world by population, with around 29,000 military personnel.
Duties
Set up audio-visual (AV) equipment and computer hardware/software as required for library training sessions.
Instruct students and parent volunteers in the use of Information Center resources and use of the copy machine, laminator, lettering machine, binding machine, audio-visual (AV) equipment, and other library equipment.
Gather materials for specific classroom units of study upon the request of a teacher and sets up special checkouts.
Monitor books and materials borrowed by students or teachers.
Prepare computer software and equipment for circulation.
Maintain Information Center regulations and operating instructions in appropriate files.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: utilizing a computer to review files; sorting inventory; and setting up office equipment.

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
Selective Placement Factor: A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
