The purpose is located in the Purchase Referred Care Department at the Cheyenne River Health Center (CRHC). The purpose of this position is to manage the Motor Vehicle Operator services provided by the CRHC. Primary duties include overseeing the day-to-day functions of Motor Vehicle
Operators. Secondary duties including MVO driving duties, GSA fleet management for the CRHC, and coordinate MVO custodial duties with Environmental Services.
Duties
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of employees; evaluates work performance of subordinates.
Schedules and dispatches motor vehicles, for the transportation of patients, staff and material to and from the Service Unit.
Examines vehicle and equipment by visual means before, during operation and after use to determine malfunctions.
Coordinates housekeeping duties with Environmental Services and Purchase Referred Care Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Candidates for this position will evaluated under the Federal Wage System (FWS) Job Grading Standards. Applicants will be rated in the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time and you have the required ability or potential to perform the job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element will be eliminated from further consideration.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
