This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Atlantic Area, National Strike Force Coordination Center, Atlantic Strike Team, in Fort Dix, NJ.
Duties
This position is located the United States Coast Guard, Atlantic Strike Team. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Equipment Maintenance Manager, responsible for administering, scheduling, and performing physical upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance for the National Strike Force (NSF) Strike Team (ST) deployable equipment.

- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS FOR GS-12:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service in performing work involving the collection, analysis, interpretation, and development of specialized information concerning equipment. This experience may have been gained by working as a skilled technician or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator dealing with manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation of equipment; reviewing and applying technical specifications and requirements; analyzing equipment and forecasting spare parts requirements; applying various calculation techniques used in the provisioning process to determine the range and depth of item selection with complex equipment and systems; reading and interpreting engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders; analyzing contract specifications and examining pertinent equipment to determine if specifications are met; development of maintenance, maintenance effectiveness analysis, repair or production operations to determine methods of improvement.
