Duties

Develops, manages, maintains, plans and administers outdoor recreation activities programs to support eligible personnel. Develops and executes program budget. Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to recreation programs. Provides a full range of supervisory functions to assigned staff.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Be generally available to work irregular hours, evenings and/or weekends.
• Perform duties that involve working in an indoor and outdoor environment.

Qualifications

Specialized experience at a level that equipped the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required for successful performance, to include: Experience in the planning and delivery of outdoor recreation programs to a large, diverse community. Experience in developing or assisting with program budget, providing recreation facility/equipment maintenance, and instructing program participants in the techniques of various recreation activities. Leadership experience gained through supervising or mentoring lower-level staff.
