You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (OA) in the Command Services Department (N01) at NRC SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will be responsible for administrative duties such as correspondence control; forms management, report management and directives management.
You will prepare Navy Correspondence to include the draft (s) and finished copies.
You will review Form Request and Reference Record CNT-GEN 5213/1 to determine if "general use" forms are
available and suitable for use.
You will review report correspondence for new, revised, or cancelled reports prior to publication/distribution.
You will stamp, mark, seal, package, type address label and affix to parcel and route unclassified outgoing communication.
You will provide advice and assistance on use of local filing system including storage and retrieval of correspondence and documentation.
You will prepare and maintain security records, files and databases to include the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
You will Initiate, assist in completion, review, submit and track to completion of investigation/re-investigations submitted via (e-QIP) to parent agency for personnel background investigation completion.
You will assist security manager in access control in processing of visitor requests, access badges to include access to restricted areas and maintain access listings.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience preparing Correspondence (e.g. gathering information, assembling supporting documentation, typing, correcting grammar, spelling, proof reading) to route through the chain until completion; Experience reviewing directives and/or developing local directives to implement policies and institute internal operating policies; Experience utilizing messaging system (e.g. maintaining, distributing incoming/outgoing messages, entering, extracting messages, processing classified/ unclassified communications) in accordance with Standard Subject Identification Code System; Experience with mail distribution, and/or service (e.g. receiving, sorting, delivering of official mail to proper code, maintaining logs, of certified and registered mail, collect outgoing mail for bulk mailing); Experience preparing, entering, maintaining security records and/or files, into various computer system programs (e.g. Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ), Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (E-QIP), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Department of Defense Central Adjudication Facility (DOD CAF), Navy Division Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS)) or comparable systems. Experience in researching, reviewing, validating, decision making, problem solving and/or preparing information through organization, planning and prioritizing of work.
