The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Chief, Education and Training Office in administering the education and training programs, provide technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within unit organizations on all aspects of the program.
Duties
Assists the Chief, Education and Training in administration of Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs.
Responsible for overall management On the Job Training (OJT) program for the wing.
Manages the development of education and training instructional products.
Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates operations of the Advance Distributed Learning, and multimedia education and training programs.
Monitors the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in Personnel Data System (PDS).
Administers a diversified testing program. Responsibilities will include being primary or alternate test control officer.

- Position may require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
- Position requires a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and a secret security clearance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 1702 Education and Training Technician
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience which may have been gained while assisting in administering an education and training program and provide guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors on all aspects of a variety of voluntary education programs.
OR
EDUCATION: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Comprehensive knowledge of military personnel policies, Reserve mission, training methods and programs, and Air Force Testing Program, AFIADL, and DANTES testing.
Knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and software.
Ability to analyze data/products to determine adequacy of training programs.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
