THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This Air National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1664000 and is part of the TN 118th WING, National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization.

Duties

As a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-13 (TITLE 32) you will plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the intelligence unit. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promotes team building, implements quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Exercise responsibility for oversight of various unit activities and operations, including any or all of the intelligence unit functional areas of training, standardization and evaluation, development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), simulation exercises, scheduling, plans, intelligence collection and production, analysis and reporting, mission management, and mission computer systems. Develop long-range training, intelligence, and deployment plans for the unit to meet training goals, higher headquarters inspection schedules, and overseas deployment requirements. Serve as the key advisor to the Wing Commander on all unit matters, including intelligence collection and dissemination processes, support requirements, and technical assets of associated intelligence-data gathering systems. Responsible for all fiscal operations of the unit. Maintain mission readiness and ensures unit compliance with directives as validated through the Inspector General, MAJCOMs and other reviewing agencies. Oversee all unit training of assigned/attached personnel. Exercise overall management of the unit's information technology program. Exercise overall management of the special compartmented information (SCI) program including ensuring proper protection, use and dissemination of SCI documentation and materials. Oversee the monitoring of the implementation of the unit safety program for all intelligence operations and related activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
• Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
• For positions requiring a security clearance (Top Secret/SCI) with CI/Poly, the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

Military Grades: O1 through O5 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
