You will serve as a PIPEFITTER TRAINING LEADER in the Production Resources Training Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will prepare lesson plans, training materials, including visual aids, for the development of learning through classroom and/or on-the-job situations. You will teach basic trade nuclear theory and practical work, including but not limited to, the principles, concepts, terminology, processes and practices of the trade and information regarding safety, tool, equipment and materials. You will conduct mock-up training which is nuclear pipefitting overhaul, repair, and conversion work assimilating in a controlled environment. You will schedule and coordinate practical nuclear work experiences in the shop as closely as possible with the progression of learning the elements of the trade theory. You will counsel employees on the day-to-day problems involving nuclear trade theory, trade practices and other related information.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
