The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a key staff professional position supporting the command missions and functions representing Headquarters Second Air Force and Headquarters Air Education Training Command by managing production workflow for the Air Force Career Development Academy's (AFCDA) career development course (CDC) program.
Duties
Directs and manages the course development and delivery schedule to meet Air Force prioritized program requirements.
Collects, interprets, and analyzes CDC production status data.
Prepares course material submissions for development.
Manages course activation, deactivation, delivery actions and publications.
Assists in completing a variety of data based special training projects and studies as requested. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing difficult, but well precedented assignments requiring knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of professional military education and the standard practices and methods of course design and management; reviewing and interpreting data, identifying trends, and researching and providing recommendation for improvement to processes and procedures; and preparing and publishing reports, status updates and course catalogs within established timelines.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the principles, concepts, standard practices, methods, and techniques for implementation of the AFCDA program sufficient to perform difficult, but well-precedented assignments; knowledge of training administration, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives; knowledge of the principles and techniques required to evaluate and analyze AFCDA production workflow management systems, policies, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge of the AFCDA program to perform studies and special projects and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly.
Skill in exercising analytical and independent judgment within a wide range of recurring aspects of the AFCDA program; skill in collecting accurate source data, sorting and interpreting data, and analyzing data for higher-level reports, briefings, and decision-making; skill and ability to recognize and analyze AFCDA program problems, conduct research, summarize results, and develop timely and impactful solutions.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and accomplish special training projects and studies; ability to proficiently use online Learning Management Systems, databases, and software products such as Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to prepare documents/products and access, retrieve, and store data.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy, as well as work in a professional manner with subject matter experts, higher headquarters, management and senior leadership.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
