About the Position: The person in this position will serve as the main Organizational Defense Travel System (DTS) Administrator (ODTA), Finance Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) and one of the Agency Program Coordinators (APC) for the Medical and Dental Treatment Facilities (MTD/DTF), with overall responsibility for managing the budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY).

Duties
Serve as the source for reporting DTS problems and correcting administrative problems (Help Desk).
Compute, edit, and consolidate monthly feeder or other reports for assigned budgetary areas.
Perform a variety of budgetary, administrative and statistical functions to support budget formulation and execution for MEDDAC/DENTAC.
Prepare extensive and complex recurring and one-time budget status reports for travel for the command and analyst review.
Provide technical assistance on matters pertaining to all aspects of travel/temporary duty.
Serve as the liaison on all travel matters with DFAS.
Serve as an Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for the official Government travel card for military and civilian personnel assigned to the MEDDAC, DENTAC.
Use a personal computer (PC) or word processor and office automation software to input, correct and process budget data and information into automated databases and systems in support of assigned duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the administrative aspects of all temporary duty travel; budgetary, administrative, and statistical functions to support budget execution, and analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: Completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, finance, business, public administration, economics, statistics, political science, or sociology. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
