The individual will be responsible for the oversight of three to seven WG-2 Linen Distributors and pack makers. He/she will assist the supervisor in ensuring proper operation of the linen and laundry section of Environmental Management Service. They must be able to prioritize work and linen deliveries for assigned areas and provide guidance to other section employees, ensuring work demands are met.

Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work performed requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, and lifting. Physical effort is required when performing housekeeping duties, operating equipment, during training sessions, or in emergency situations. Work is performed in all areas of the medical center. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally performed indoors with adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Some work may be performed outdoors where there may be exposed to varying degrees of heat and cold as well as inclement weather. PPE may be required in some circumstance as exposure to possible contagious diseases, blood and bloody secretion are inherent to this position. Care is required to avoid serious injuries (i.e., broken bones) when working on ladders, or when using 30-100-pound power equipment or handling hazardous materials.
