This PROGRAM MANAGER (INFORMATION OPERATION SQUADRON COMMANDER) position is located in an Information Operations (IO) Squadron and is part of the CA 195th WG.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the PROGRAM MANAGER (INFORMATION OPERATION SQUADRON COMMANDER), GS-0340-14, is to serve as the unit Commander. The Commander is in charge of planning, scheduling, controlling, and directing all unit functions through subordinate supervisor(s) who each direct substantial workloads comparable to the GS-11 level. Incumbent also performs analytical and evaluative duties related to the business of Information Operations (IO). The position has paramount knowledge requirements in program management in order to manage a program comprised of a workforce involved in work which includes Air Force operations, information protection, intrusion analysis, transmission, storage and information processing methodology, computer capabilities, and various computer operating systems. The incumbent is also responsible for coordination with the National Guard Bureau (NGB), Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Intelligence Agency/Air Force Information Warfare Center (AIA/AFWIC), Information Operations Group (IOG), and associated joint units.

General Experience: Experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations; Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques; Experience using computer and automation systems. PROGRAM MANAGER (INFORMATION OPERATION SQUADRON COMMANDER), GS-0340-14: Must have at least 36 months experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources; Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
