About the Position: Incumbent serves as Linen Service Worker, performing the issue and, receipt of uniforms and linens directly to all customers within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This encompasses patient care areas within the MTF. Pick up soiled linen prior to transfer to laundry and upon return from laundry.

Duties

Reports linen shortages and air evacuation losses to supervisor. Assists the representatives from each linen using area in the identification and inventory requirements throughout the hospital. Coordinates daily transportation procedures for pick up/delivery of linen to and from laundry with Motor Vehicle Operator. Responsible for records, receipts, requests for purchase, and issuance of all linen supplies in the Linen Storage Area.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have the annual influenza vaccination.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain a drivers license.
  • Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
