You will serve as a AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Industrial Maintenance Execution Branch of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will adjust components (e.g., transformers, motors, electrodes, relays, solenoids, switches, pneumatic and electrical thermostats, rheostats, aquastats, bearings, drive gears) to verify requirements are met. You will check elements (e.g., low side and high side pressure, temperature of cooling units, pressure and temperature of liquid and suction lines, running time of mechanisms) to verify operational condition. You will access direct digital control (DDC) system using a computer to diagnose refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) problems or trends. You will follow government regulations (e.g , federal, state) when storing, using, handling, labeling, and disposing of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental standards. You will determine charge using charts or gauges to maintain air conditioning pressure and temperature levels.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Restart chilled water and air conditioning systems to ensure necessary support of production areas. 2) Ensure equipment operates continually in an effective manner as the required loads and temperatures specify. 3) Provides hydronic system maintenance and cleaning to avoid interference with production requirements.
