About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Industrial Operations at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa.

Duties

Assign tasks to be performed by individual members of a working group. Provide assistance to subjourneymen in assembly, repair and modifications to support equipment. Use schematics and/or technical manuals to diagnose malfunctions. Demonstrate proper work methods to employees. Instruct personnel in the repairing, modifying, testing, and fielding of electronic systems. Diagnose malfunctions of complex integrated guided missile systems. Recommend changes to repair, maintenance, alignments, and test procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be willing to accept a temporary position.
• Pre-employment and annual physicals required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be willing to travel (TDY) up to 15% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain a Soldering Certificate within 3 months of employment.

Ability to perform common tasks to include repairing and calibration of various sub-assemblies. Inspect the work of other employees. Work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
