About the Position: This position is located in Frederick, MD. This is not a remote position.

Duties

Serve as business advisor, ensure all aspects of an acquisition are considered, including risks and incentives. Analyze and apply procurement policies impacting a variety of programs. Ensure evolving initiatives are reflected in evaluation methodology and documentation. Develop solicitations and contracts consistent with supporting documents, ensures appropriate use and inclusion of clauses and provisions. Develop acquisition strategies, and functions as lead negotiator. Lead initial strategy and planning phases through evaluation of offers, negotiations, contract award, and contract administration. Supervise and manage a staff of contracting officers and contract specialists. Provide direction and leadership, and coordinates the work of the organization.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years, unless specifically granted a position waiver.
• This is a DOD Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
