Duties

Serves as a configuration manager supporting acquisitions that develop, manage, field, and sustain IT hardware and/or software. Responsible for configuration and release management throughout the development, production, deployment, and sustainment stages. As IT Specialist, the incumbent applies IT-related laws, policies, and directives while providing IT-related guidance throughout the total acquisition lifecycle. Supports and implements Department of Defense (DoD) software development best practices. Responsible for maintaining the current project status in the appropriate management information system application. Participates in reviews to assess the performances and capabilities of private agencies performing work relating to assigned programs to determine if qualified technical/management personnel are assigned.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
