The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York's mission is to investigate, prosecute and deter violations of federal statutes, enforce and represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, uphold civil, constitutional and victims' rights, and foster partnerships with other federal, state and local government agencies and community groups.
Duties
This Management and Program Analyst provides business support and administering programmatic aspects of the EDNY.
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Management and Program Analyst support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Brooklyn, New York, focusing in the areas of administrative management and program analysis.
The incumbent of this position serves as an advanced trainee Management and Program Analyst, under the direction of the Brooklyn Office Manager.
Performs routine assigned duties independently and gains experience in serving as an advisor to the Director, providing effective analytical support, investigative program recommendations, and logistics throughout the organization.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
To qualify at the GS-11 level, you must possess:
Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) the duties listed below:
Providing support on organizational administration and logistical operations;
Advising on operations, business processes, and organizational policies;
Assisting with analytical studies of trends and developments to ensure efficient office functions; and
Tracking equipment and supply usage data for individual offices.
OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; or a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. Your education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
