Duties
You will repair and replace hardware on windows, cabinets and doors.
You will paint doors, walls, floors nd cabinets using paintbrushes and rollers.
You will perform minor plumbing work such as repairing and replacing faucets, toilets, sinks and clearing clogged drains.
You will perform electrical repairs such as pulling and replacing boxes, circuit breakers, light fixtures, outlets and switches.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.

- Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain licences for the operation of Fork Lift, High Lift (JLG) and/or Construction equipment
- You may be required to obtain certification and licensing required to perform assigned work requiring specialized tools, equipment or licensing/certification (e.g. Back Flow, Respirator, or Chlorine Process Safety Certification)

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Worker with no more than normal supervision performing the following duties: 1) Performing general plumbing maintenance and repairs such as replacing faucets, washers and plumbing lines and repairing/replacing toilet flushing devices; 2) Performing electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, outlets and switches. 3) Performing light carpentry work such as replacing and repairing windows, cabinets and doors; 4) Painting and preparing surfaces for painting; 5) Interpreting blueprints, diagrams and sketches to perform general maintenance.
