This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the PIPEFITTERS SECTION. As a Pipefitter, you will install and maintain piping and associated apparatus's supporting the following utilities; heating, cooling, air, liquids, steam pressurized systems from to 250 pounds, and specialized production and process related equipment unique to the Bureau of Engraving & Printing's Main and Annex buildings.

Duties

As a Pipefitter, you will: Repair and keep in proper working order heating systems including unit heater, fan coil units, control valves, radiators, automatic control valves, steam traps, pumps, ejectors, receivers, stop valves, and other appurtenances for heating and cooling the Main, Annex, and adjacent buildings. Install coils for heating and cooling systems and make connections to their controls. Repair and replace thermostatic controls, valves, traps, receivers, manifolds, and repair leaks. Install and maintain chilled water, process tower water, water softeners, and associated piping repairs to the wiping solution systems. Install compressed air lines and repair and maintain surge tanks, pressure reducing and control valves, strainers, after coolers, traps, and strainers.
