Serves as an Intelligence Operations Specialist and Lead for the Human Spaceflight Systems Protection Office within the JSC Exploration Development Integration (EDI) Office, Exploration Architecture, Integration, and Science Directorate. The Program Analyst leads the coordination of effective analysis, in collaboration with internal staff, other NASA offices, and other agencies, to support the system security activities of all NASA human spaceflight programs and projects.
Duties
Plans, directs, coordinates, and establishes an effective liaison posture with Agency-level counterparts.
Plans, initiates, and organizes Directorate-wide administrative procedures in research, production, and dissemination. Assessments include the analysis of unforeseen developments, new phenomena, and rapidly shifting considerations.
Identifies opportunities for collaboration and coordination of threat information and risk management activities within the purview of the System Protection Office.
Leads a team that performs the following functions, assigning tasks, distributing workload, and providing feedback on performance.
Conducts research, analyzes data, identifies trends, and prepares reports and assessments.
Prepares and presents research findings through briefings, assessments, reports, or recommendations to appropriate management and customers.
Recommends alternative courses of action that will enable programs and projects to respond timely and effectively to reduce risk and mitigate threats.
Communicates with technical or scientific programs or projects and other stakeholders to ensure products are effective and addressing requirements.
Analyze and assess data and information and develop, interpret, implement policies, procedures, and strategies.
Communicates both orally and in writing to present sometimes controversial assessments, positions, and issues; and gains cooperation from others through analytical competence, tact, and diplomacy.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Evaluating information, data, strategies, operations, and requirements supporting human spaceflight;
Utilizing analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to identify, collect, analyze, and present program information;
Presenting sensitive information and/or making recommendations on complex matters to senior leadership, which includes communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
