You will serve as a Principle Data Scientist (PDS) in the under the leadership of the NAVAIR HQ Affiliate Data Officer of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will identify and solidify areas of authority and jurisdiction while strengthening the partnership/collaboration approach to data accessibility, management, and analytics. You will conceptualize and manage execution of data science projects with maximum contribution to commander's intent and command-level impact and visibility. You will influence adoption of ECH II, III, IV policies and practices aligned with DOD / DON strategy and guidance.  You will lead an active community of practices that bridges previously siloed practices, cultivates a digital-ready workforce, and trains in-house data science talent.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band NH-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
