The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Manage and direct a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled technical experts in execution of the project, IAW baseline cost, schedule, performance and risk, to achieve the goals of the project.
Develop work breakdown structures, integrated work schedules, determine manpower requirements, identify critical required materials and other resources.
Direct work efforts in assigned program area(s), spanning multiple organizations
Plan, evaluate, direct and/or execute projects and provide expert and authoritative advice affecting program operations to Armaments Center senior management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R .
- Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the DB-03 pay band or grade level equivalent(GS-12/13) in the Federal service which involves ALL of the following duties: 1) Leading a team engaged in developing warhead technology 2) Managing a multi-faceted technology development program that balances the needs of a range of stakeholders ; AND 3) Preparing and presenting oral and written reports on program status and technology development for a variety of audiences to include high-ranking civilian and military officials.
