About the Position: This position is located at Moncrief Army Health Clinic - Department of Behavioral Health, Fort Jackson, SC 29207.
Duties
Collaborate with mental health providers to ensure appropriate utilization of mental health care resources.
Maintain communication with provider and soldiers on a weekly basis.
Create presentations for psycho-educational and support groups meetings.
Develop support caseloads for mental health providers assessments and reviews.
Report and follow up issues relating to Quality Improvement and Risk Management.
Participate as a member of the mental health multidisciplinary team that coordinates care for Soldiers mental health.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes identifying and resolving psychosocial problems in patients using proper procedures, regulations and rules; utilizing a variety of healthcare services and programs to treat patients; managing assigned caseload and utilizing strong communications skills with patients, mental health team and families, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Social Behavior, Human Behavior or Healthcare.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
