This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Facilities Engineering Department (FED), Base Astoria, Astoria, OR.
Duties
The incumbent serves as Public Works Division Chief within the FED. The position's paramount requirement is 1) experience in and knowledge of trades and labor work related to facility maintenance and preventative maintenance systems (PMS) and 2) skill and knowledge in supervising subordinate supervisors, leaders, and workers. The incumbent supervises one civilian employee performing work at WG-10 level and military E3 through E7 levels.
Requirements
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- This position requires a physical examination.
- Required to carry a government issued cell phone at all times.
- Occasional Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) may be required.
Qualifications
