About the Position: Serve as Property Administrator for the Training Support Center (TSC), with large amounts of government property including a large amount of consumable materials for work in process, and substantial quantities in other types of property including real property, special tooling, industrial plant equipment, other plant equipment, military property, training aids, graphic training aids and scrap and salvage.

Duties

Operate as Property Administrator for the organization. Manage accounting procedures for personal property and equipment assigned. Assign work to subordinates such as based on priority, difficulty, employee capability, or equitable distribution of work. Research and develop solutions to property administration problems. Review the organization's supply operations to meet the workload demands. Direct annual physical inventories of all non-expendable property on the property book.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • This position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle and successfully pass an Army approved defensive driving certification course.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with supply operations and procedures to perform duties such as, maintain property book, hand receipts, inventory/inspection controls, property accountability/acquisition/disposition, requisitioning/receipt/issuing of supplies. Utilizing automated systems to perform supply functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management or Supply Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementManages Human ResourcesOrganizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
