About the Position: You will serve as a Logistics Planner and technical logistics expert for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Logistics contingency/emergency response Program. You will develop program policy and monitor operations. Monitors and evaluates readiness exercises and deployments.
Duties
Prepares actions in connection with providing emergency and contingency logistics support in response to civil and military contingencies and emergencies.
Reviews and analyzes logistics exercises, emergency deployments, contingency operations, and logistics lessons learned to identify USACE operations logistics requirements.
Completes projects to develop and implement procedures to provide contract civilian logistics support for emergency and contingency deployments.
Develops evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of ULA emergency / contingency response functions and capabilities.
Reviews logistics plans for accuracy and completeness.
Maintains contact with a variety of government agencies to provide USACE logistical planning support.
Requirements
- You will be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
- Business travel 30% of the time and may require deployment to a hostile environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and/or maintain an Official U.S. Passport.
- This is a Non-Combat Essential Position. You may be required to work in austere environments CONUS and OCONUS during crisis situations.
- This key and essential position is not to be filled by persons with military recall status (one who is in the status of a Ready Reserve, Standby Reserve, or a military retiree subject to recall to active duty).
- Employee must meet physical requirements outlined in AMC Regulation 700-19.
- Positions covered by this job description are non-combat essential and mandatory mobility and as such, are subject to all provisions contained in DA mobility guidance.
- Incumbent may be subject to 24-hour on-call in the event of an emergency. This service may require irregular working hours, work at locations other than the official duty station.
- This is a Term/Obligated position NTE 13 months to 2 years. This position MAY BE made permanent. See "Additional Information."

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting emergency response events, reviews and analyzes logistics exercises, emergency deployments, contingency operations, and logistics lessons learned to identify logistics requirements; reviewing and determining military contingency logistics requirements and coordination with logistical contingency/emergency response issues; and proposing improvements for logistics supply program management and functional areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
