Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.Working Conditions: The work is performed either inside or outside. However, some is done inside in areas that are dirty, oily, greasy, and there is constant exposure to minor cuts, bruises, and burns. Some work, however, is performed outside in various weather conditions. Physical Effort: Mobile equipment servicers frequently work on top of equipment at heights up to 18 feet above ground and underneath vehicles by use of a creeper, and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (WG-03), 50 pounds (WG-06). Mobile equipment servicers frequently bend, reach, and work in awkward positions when performing work in lube pits or from car racks. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
