This position is located in the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (S/GAC), which implements the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). You will serve as the Supervisory Program Coordinator in the Office of Financial and Programmatic Sustainability. The PEPFAR program is the U.S. government’s global HIV/AIDS program which provides in excess of $6 billion annually for prevention and treatment programs in over fifty countries impacted by HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Duties
Manages assigned program issues, maintaining currency on legislative and policy developments affecting the administration of these programs.
Establishes and directs systematic methods of program execution, evaluation, and advocacy related to PEPFAR sustainability policies and programming.
Identifies ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Develops performance standards and valuates work performance of subordinate employees.
Directs the production of analytical products with relevant Departmental and other organizations, instructing the modification of drafts as necessary and appropriate.
Directs the evaluation of the relative need, local conditions, and capability of individual countries supported by PEPFAR to develop or improve their infrastructure and programs.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
Experience establishing liaison with multilateral stakeholders to support PEPFAR programs.
Experience preparing HIV/AIDS program and policy decisions in PEPFAR countries related to funding, evaluating, and reporting.
Experience monitoring developing political situations or issues related to PEPFAR programs.
In addition, applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities:
Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others;
Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances;
Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations without undue stress;
Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view; and
