This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR), Position Description Number D2300000 and is part of the 109TH AW, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
This is an indefinite position with potential to convert to permanent.
THIS VACANCY IS FOR TWO POSITIONS.
Duties
As a Aircraft Loadmaster Instructor, you will administer, schedule, and conduct flight and ground training which develops, upgrades, and evaluates the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; to perform aircrew duties as instructor loadmaster in the unit type aircraft and to perform related staff support duties; to train crewmembers in these duties.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- May be required to travel in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Must be instructor qualified, maintaining proficiency in the Principles of Instruction.
- May be required to maintain flight examiner qualification. Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization/ evaluation examinations to include random no-notice evaluations.
- Required to maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. As prescribed by regulation, may be required to carry and use a concealed weapon while performing aircrew related duties.

Military Grades: Enlisted
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in functions such as preparing aircraft loading plans, loading and offloading aircraft, operating loading equipment, and ensuring security of cargo in flight.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience requirements are to be determined locally, depending on the necessary requirements for your current airframe and the required certificates as speicified by the appropriate Air and Army Regulation. Specific MOS/AFSC's may be included when essential for successful performance of the position.
