About the position: This position will be assigned to the Base Restaurant at Robins Air Force Base.. Must be able to work an 8 hour shift continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending. May be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment.

Duties

Sells a variety of merchandise items such as prepackaged snacks, drinks, food, and candy. Operates cash register, input sales, receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale. At the end of each hour of duty clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts monthly inventories. Orders food and merchandise weekly. Maintains a clean and orderly snack bar. Sweeps, mops, cleans all surfaces and equipment in the snack bar. Keep the snack bar stocked with all items. Mentor new employee, training in all aspects of the job. May perform related food service duties to include set up of the deli and salad bar. Requirements

• This position requires the completion of food handler's training.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a point of sales terminal. Should have the ability to read, speak, and w:ite in English. Posse excellent customer service skills when interacting with customers. Must be able to complete food handler's training.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
