This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is located in the Office of Mission Support (OMS), Office of Enterprise Information Programs (OEIP). This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized. About OMS.

Duties

The Office of Enterprise Information Programs (OEIP) ensures the proper use, release, and management of Agency information resources by leading the development, implementation, and coordination of Agency-wide programs such as the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), dockets, records management, information quality, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Agency Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program. OEIP also manages the Agency's eDiscovery Program, National Digitization Centers, the EPA Quality Program, and the Agency's National Library Network. As Director, the incumbent exercises technical and administrative control over the Office and its activities.

Qualifications

The work of this position is classified in the Program Management, 0340 series where the qualifications include both general management skills and characteristics that are applicable to all SES positions and technical or program responsibilities specific to this position. Applicants must have substantive general experience which provides a good basic or general knowledge of the principles of organization, management and administration; and substantive specialized (operating administrative or managerial) experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to this position. All applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform in this role. Typically this experience can be found in work within this field or a field that is closely related.  As a basic requirement for entry into the Senior Executive Service, applicants must also provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Executive Core Qualifications and Technical Qualifications listed below. A. Inherent to this ECQ is the ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks. ECQ 4 - BUSINESS ACUMEN. Involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically.ECQ 5 - BUILDING COALITIONS. Involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals. TQ 2 - Demonstrated experience leveraging innovations in the areas of information technology and the application of new technologies and approaches to address business mission area needs.
