You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR in the Ordnance and Mines Division within the Undersea Weapons Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Duties

You will operate cranes at all boom lengths, angles and positions. You will make rapid lifting capacity judgments during continual position changes. You will operate at or near the crane's lifting capacity and within extremely congested areas. You will produce exact movements while precision setting loads onto or into other objects, e.g. loading and handling various ordnance. You will operate the crane's controls, making difficult clearance judgments while watching the moving load and boom and compensating for variations in the crane's lifting capacity during position degree of visual and physical coordination.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain eligibility for the current Qualification/Certification program for explosives handling.
