About the Position: TERM NTE 2 years at Headquarters, US Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Serve as the ACOM senior subject matter expert/program manager for all aspects of Army force structure, unit design, readiness integration and doctrine. Individual provides advice and assistance to Division Chief on all aspects of Division operations and management as a Force Management senior subject-matter expert. Serves as the Maneuver, Fires and Protection Branch Chief in the Force Management Division exercising responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the branch's operations and activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • 15% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Drug Testing position.
  • 1 year trial period.
  • Serve a one year supervisory probation period.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
