About the Position: Serves as an Operations Specialist providing technical and tactical knowledge and performing tasks related to the operational mission of the Brigade S3 Section and the Army Medical Center of Excellence located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Responsible for managing, forecasting's, and requesting ammunition for all training exercises.
Responsible for managing ranges and facilities through the RFMSS program.
Maintains weekly interaction with the Brigade Leadership.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and organizing organization training events, use of facilities, and projected short range and long range training calendar; producing operation orders/tasking orders along with establishing a tracking mechanism to ensure completion of tasks; processing incoming/outgoing correspondence, reviewing to determine action office, establishing suspense, and ensuring follow-up as required to assure timely completion; maintaining the training, scheduling, and calendar events on organization's share portal; managing requests for ammunition, facilities, and ranges; AND draft routine and non-routine correspondence for dissemination. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent doctoral degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Project Management or Organizational Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify,
